Horizontal Multistage Pumps

Horizontal Multistage Pumps

Close-coupled, horizontal-shaft, multistage self-priming centrifugal pumps. After initial filling they draw water automatically and quickly from depths of up to 8 metres; suction and discharge nozzles have female threaded connections. Available with single-phase (230 V) and three-phase (400 V) motors.

Thanks to their compact horizontal multistage design, they are a quiet and economical solution for garden and agricultural irrigation, rainwater use, washing plants and water supply in homes and small businesses. Cast iron or stainless steel casing options make them suitable for clean water.

ImpellerStainless steel, cast iron or bronze
SealingMaintenance-free mechanical seal

Which material? A cast iron casing is the economical choice for irrigation and general clean water applications; for drinking water, rainwater and environments with a high risk of corrosion, a stainless steel casing and stainless steel impeller are recommended.

Advantages

Self-Priming

  • After initial filling, draws water automatically and quickly from depths of up to 8 metres.
  • Operates from wells, storage tanks or rainwater tanks without additional priming equipment.

Economical Operation

  • Around 40% higher efficiency and lower energy consumption than comparable jet pumps.
  • Supports the sustainable use of resources.

Low Noise Level

  • Noticeably quieter operation than comparable jet pumps.
  • Well suited to homes, gardens and other noise-sensitive environments.

Easy Handling

  • Easily accessible priming and drain plugs for quick installation.
  • The pump can be drained and shut down easily when there is a risk of frost.

Efficient Motor

  • IE2 efficiency class motors; IE3 on 0.75 kW three-phase versions.
  • Single-phase and three-phase motor options.

Design and Construction Features

  • Multistage, self-priming hydraulic design
  • Close-coupled (monoblock) pump–motor design
  • Female threaded suction and discharge connections
  • Easily accessible priming and drain plugs
  • Maintenance-free mechanical seal
  • 2-pole asynchronous motor; single-phase 230 V or three-phase 400 V
  • Motor ambient conditions: -20 °C … +40 °C, up to 1000 m altitude

How to Choose

  1. Determine the flow rateCalculate the total water demand (m³/h) from the number of taps, sprinklers or lines used at the same time.
  2. Calculate head and suction liftAdd static height, pipe friction losses and the required outlet pressure; the water level must be no more than 8 m below the pump.
  3. Select the power supplyA single-phase 230 V motor for home and garden use, a three-phase 400 V motor for businesses.
  4. Select the casing materialCast iron for general clean water; stainless steel for drinking water and corrosive environments.
