Stainless Steel Centrifugal Pumps

Stainless Steel Centrifugal Pumps

Horizontal, single-stage stainless steel centrifugal pumps with circular casing. Ratings and main dimensions comply with EN 733. All wetted parts are made of AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel; the back pull-out design and replaceable casing wear rings make maintenance easy.

With their corrosion-resistant construction and primer-free wetted parts, they are used reliably wherever hygiene and corrosion resistance matter — from drinking water, water treatment and cleaning systems to bottle and crate washing lines, surface treatment plants and heating and air-conditioning circuits. They offer suitable solutions for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and chemical industries.

Which material? AISI 304 is recommended for mildly corrosive fluids, drinking water and water treatment; AISI 316 / 1.4571 (AISI 316Ti) for seawater, aggressive fluids, food and chemical applications. Wetted parts are primer-free; a version suitable for food contact (EC 1935/2004) is also available.

Advantages

Corrosion Resistance

  • All wetted parts made of stainless steel (AISI 304 / AISI 316).
  • Transfers fluids without affecting their purity or colour.
  • Primer-free wetted parts, suitable for drinking water applications.

Energy Efficiency

  • High-efficiency hydraulic design; the impeller diameter is trimmed to the duty point as standard.
  • Energy savings of up to 60% with variable speed control.
  • The efficiency requirements of the ErP Directive (MEI ≥ 0.4) are significantly exceeded.

Operating Reliability

  • Designed for operating pressures up to 12 bar.
  • Long service life with a maintenance-free mechanical seal to EN 12756.

Wide Range of Options

  • Numerous standardised mechanical seal options (EN 12756).
  • Ball feet and round base feet for installation without a foundation.
  • Version suitable for food contact (EC 1935/2004).

Ease of Service

  • Back pull-out design: dismantling without removing the pump casing from the piping.
  • Replaceable wear rings reduce wear at the impeller and discharge cover.

High-Efficiency Motor

  • Magnet-free synchronous reluctance motor option in IE4/IE5 efficiency class, operated with a speed controller that requires no rotor position sensor.*

* The IE5 efficiency class (IEC/TS 60034-30-2) motor option is available up to 15/18.5 kW. Please contact our sales team to check suitability.

Design and Construction Features

  • Horizontal, single-stage design with circular casing
  • Ratings and main dimensions to EN 733
  • Long-coupled back pull-out design with bearing bracket
  • All wetted parts made of AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel
  • Replaceable casing wear rings
  • Mechanical seal to EN 12756
  • Motor mounting dimensions to EN 50347, envelope dimensions to DIN V 42673

How to Choose

  1. Determine the flow rateThe total fluid demand of the system (m³/h) determines the pump size and impeller diameter.
  2. Calculate the headAdd static height, pipe and fitting losses and the required outlet pressure; together with the inlet pressure, the total must not exceed 12 bar.
  3. Define the fluid and temperatureThe type of fluid, its pH value and the operating temperature between -30 °C and +110 °C determine material and seal selection.
  4. Select material and motorAISI 304 for mildly corrosive fluids, AISI 316 for seawater, food and aggressive fluids; a speed-controlled high-efficiency motor for energy savings.
